Robert L. Freedman has extensive experience in both legal practice and governance. Currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Foreign Policy Research Institute since 2002, Freedman has held prominent roles within the organization. Previously, Freedman was a candidate for the Board of Overseers at Harvard University from January 2008 to December 2009, although the election was not successful. A retired partner at Dechert LLP, Freedman contributed to the firm from 1968 until July 2009. Educationally, Freedman holds a Bachelor of Laws from Columbia Law School, a Master's Degree in Economics from Columbia University, and an A.B. in Government from Harvard University, in addition to completing secondary education at Friends' Central School.
