William Mateo

William Mateo is an experienced program manager with a robust background in outdoor stewardship and international development. Currently serving as the Asia Pacific Program Manager for the U.S. Forest Service since June 2021, William previously managed the Trails Stewardship Program at Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and provided support to community crews as a Program Assistant with the Student Conservation Association. William's tenure at One Acre Fund saw significant achievements in field staff management, client expansion, and training program development, where responsibilities included overseeing a team, managing a substantial loan portfolio, and driving program scaling efforts. Additional roles include volunteer coordination for Global Dental Relief, event planning for the International Development Exchange Young Professionals' Group, and providing bilingual support in various capacities. William holds a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Amherst College, complemented by diverse training and certifications.
