Sandeep Basnet

Sandeep Basnet, MD, currently serves as the Senior Director of Clinical Development at Formation Bio, focusing on the application of AI and ML in clinical development since May 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Clinical Development at Moderna, where Sandeep specialized in Cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine development from August 2020 to May 2024. Additional positions held include Associate Director at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, contributing to Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and COVID-19 therapeutic efforts, and Clinical Research Lead at CorEvitas, overseeing a Rheumatoid Arthritis program in Japan. Sandeep also led structural heart research at The Mount Sinai Hospital and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
