Martin Sutherland

Martin Sutherland is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Forterra PLC. Martin was previously the Chief Executive Officer at De La Rue from October 2014 to October 2019. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence from October 2008 to September 2014.

Sutherland has over 20 years of experience in the private sector, working in a variety of industries including banking, security, and intelligence. Martin has a proven track record of success in expanding businesses and increasing revenue. Under their leadership, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence more than doubled in size.

Martin Sutherland has a MA in Physics from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Remote Sensing from UCL.
