Dr Allan Paterson

Dr Allan Paterson is an accomplished expert in battery development and electrochemistry, currently serving as the Head of Battery Development at WAE since June 2023. Prior to this role, Dr Paterson was the Chief Technical Officer at Britishvolt from October 2020 to June 2023 and Head of Programme Management at The Faraday Institution from July 2018 to October 2020. Additionally, Dr Paterson held the position of Chief Electrochemist at both Cummins Inc. and Johnson Matthey Battery Systems during early 2018 and from April 2013 to February 2018, respectively. Dr Paterson earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews.
