Marieh Zargar is an experienced professional in water resources engineering and strategic planning, currently serving as Manager of Studies-Strategic Planning and Iron Ore Projects at Fortescue since December 2013. Throughout a career that includes various leadership roles in energy demand response and decarbonization, as well as mine services and infrastructure services, Marieh has demonstrated expertise in groundwater management and environmental assessments. Previous roles at Emission Assessments Pty Ltd, RPS Group, and Golder Associates involved significant contributions to groundwater monitoring, modeling, and resource assessment. Marieh holds a Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology. Additional academic experience includes work as a research assistant at the University of Canterbury, focusing on innovative groundwater allocation strategies.
