Hesham Fahmy

Hesham Fahmy is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. As the Chief Information Officer at TELUS since March 2021 and a Board Member at FortNine since March 2022, Fahmy brings significant expertise in technology strategy and governance. Previously, as VP Technology and Vice President and GM of Marketplace at Loblaw Digital from January 2017 to March 2021, responsibilities included overseeing technology initiatives and marketplace operations. At ecobee, from November 2010 to January 2017, Fahmy led R&D, architecture, and software development for the cloud platform, while earlier roles at Virgin Mobile Canada, DonRiver, Inc., and IBM encompassed software development management and technology architecture. Fahmy holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University.
