Neal Feustel

Neal Feustel is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Port Captain for the Columbia/Snake River Region at Foss Maritime Company since December 2022. Previously, Feustel worked as a Marine Surveyor at North American Marine Consultants, where responsibilities included conducting inspections of maritime assets and providing consultant services for cargo transport while ensuring safety compliance. Feustel's background includes serving as a Field Investigator for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, managing investigative assignments related to fraud and misconduct. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard from 1990 to 2015, Feustel held various leadership roles, including Commanding Officer of USCGC JOSHUA APPLEBY and USCGC VISE, overseeing navigation, mission execution, and crew training. Feustel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Criminal Justice from Keiser University and a high school diploma from Miles E. Godwin Senior High.
