Marianella Herrera is a distinguished professional in the fields of health and nutrition, currently serving as a Visiting Lecturer at Framingham State University since September 2022. As the Director and Co-Coordinator at the Observatorio Venezolano de la Salud since July 2012, Marianella oversees projects aimed at obtaining accurate information regarding health in Venezuela. Additionally, Marianella is a Board of Directors Member at the Fundación Bengoa para la Alimentación y Nutrición and previously held significant roles such as Chair of the Council on Research at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from June 2019 to May 2021, and Past President of the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from June 2017 to June 2018. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Nutrition and Public Policies from Universidad Simón Bolívar, and further training in public policy design from Harvard Kennedy School.
