Kailen Akers

Kailen Akers, PE, currently serves as a Bridge Design Engineer at the Franklin County Engineers Office, a position held since April 2021. Prior to this role, Kailen worked at ms consultants, inc. from September 2015 to April 2021, progressing through various positions including Site Civil Engineer - Project Manager, Technical Responsible Party, and Team Lead, with extensive experience in managing site plan production for retail developments and collaborating with national brands like Aldi, Inc. Earlier experience includes serving as Construction Manager at H.R. Gray from August 2013 to September 2015, where responsibilities encompassed field observation, contractor pay application processing, project estimating, scheduling, and claim preparation. Kailen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University, awarded in 2013, and has been actively involved in organizational efforts as a United Way Team Captain and member of the Great Place to Work Committee in the Columbus Office.
