Edgar Quiroz Medrano

Edgar Quiroz Medrano is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and support roles. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher with the Franklin-McKinley School District since August 2018, Edgar previously taught kindergarten at both the San José Unified School District and Cornerstone Academy Preparatory School. Edgar's teaching journey began with Teach For America and continued with various positions, including a Special Aide Sub in the Campbell Union School District and a Site Coordinator at Sylvan Learning Centers. Alongside teaching, Edgar has worked at the Bill Wilson Center as a Peer Mentor, providing support to youth in challenging circumstances, and at the Raza Recruitment and Retention Center, where workshops were organized to enhance educational access. Edgar's educational qualifications include a Master's degree from The Johns Hopkins University, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
