Alan Walling

Alan Walling serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Franklin since May 2023. Previously, Alan Walling held various leadership roles at Sikorsky from July 1991 to April 2023, including Chief Engineer Director, where responsibility included overseeing a team of over 100 engineers for the Executive Transport Helicopters program. As Director of Commercial Helicopters Programs, Alan Walling managed full Profit and Loss for both production and out-of-production segments while leading a team of 160 professionals. Further roles included General Manager of the Blades Product Center, where leadership was provided for a workforce exceeding 600 individuals, focusing on quality and delivery in helicopter blade manufacturing. Alan Walling's educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, and a certification in Systems Engineering Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
