Renee Aitken

Renee Aitken is an accomplished educator and administrator with extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Franklin University and Park University since 2021 and 2007, respectively. Aitken has played a significant role in peer review and editorial activities for MERLOT since 2007, receiving the Peer Reviewer Extraordinaire distinction multiple times. Aitken's previous leadership positions include Dean of the School of Education at Salem University and AVP for Educational Effectiveness and Institutional Accreditation at Wright State University. Aitken's expertise in accreditation and assessment is further demonstrated through roles at Colorado State University-Global Campus as Director and Northcentral University as Director of Assessment. Aitken holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University and additional degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and The Ohio State University.
