Sam Khater currently serves as the Chief Economist at Freddie Mac, a position held since April 2018. Prior to this role, Sam worked at CoreLogic as the Deputy Chief Economist since 2007, where responsibilities included writing and producing research for MarketPulse and CoreLogic Insights, alongside generating innovative analyses for product development and client consulting. From 1997 to 2007, Sam was employed at Fannie Mae as a Senior Economist, where long-term housing and mortgage market models were constructed to meet corporate and regulatory goals. Sam holds a Master of Arts in Network Economics, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from George Mason University.
