Pat, who is serving a 1-year interim term as Board Treasurer, had an extensive career in banking, with a focus on the Small Business Administration (SBA) lending program. Under her leadership, the bank was granted Preferred Lender status, SBA’s highest recognition for banks. She was instrumental in building the program to help hundreds of small businesses start and thrive, and the bank’s SBA program ranked consistently among the top 10 lenders in the Philadelphia district. She finished her career serving five years with the SBA. A highlight there was being one of only five field representatives appointed to the national team to develop SBA’s new loan system. She was named SBA’s Financial Services Champion by the Eastern PA District Office in 2001.
In 1999, Pat was a founding member and first Executive Director of Community Lenders Community Development Corp., a multi-bank loan pool that provides financing to mission-driven organizations that work to improve their communities. Pat also served as board secretary for Keystone Opportunity Center, which provides social services to the community. As the first female commercial lender at the bank, she had a strong interest in supporting women in business and conducted many workshops supporting women business owners.
Additionally, Pat was a founding member of Advocates for Small Business and served as a mentor for Ursinus College’s U-Innovate program in 2014, having previously graduated from Ursinus with a degree in Political Science. The school later
presented Pat with the 2017 Alumni Award for Professional Achievement, which recognizes an individual who has reached significant professional achievements through exemplary leadership.
Pat’s work in the community has included church and board memberships over the years. She joined the Frederick Living Board in 1991 as their first female member and served as first female board chair from 1999 to 2003. In subsequent years, she has served on the Finance Team. She is active at Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton, serving on the Memorial Endowment Committee and Finance Committee, and previously on the Church Board and the Lead Pastor Search committee.
