Christopher Brandt

Christopher Brandt is an experienced editor and project manager with a strong background in democracy promotion, human rights, and governance. Currently serving as a Consultant Editor for Freedom House, Brandt edits country reports for the Nations in Transit survey. Previously, Brandt held the position of Managing Editor at Transparentem, where responsibilities included writing investigative reports and overseeing organizational communications. Brandt's editorial expertise was also applied at Freedom House for key publications on global freedom, as well as various roles that involved program coordination and research in democratic governance, particularly in Africa. Brandt holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Fordham University.
