Franz-Lucas Haut

Franz-Lucas Haut currently serves as a Junior Group Leader at Freie Universität Berlin since March 2024. Previously, Haut worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ICIQ from November 2021 to December 2023, focusing on new catalytic technologies for the regioselective functionalization of strong sigma carbon-heteroatom bonds. Prior to that, Haut was a Doctoral Student at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck from September 2017 to May 2021, specializing in method development and natural product synthesis. Additional experience includes a brief tenure as a Doctoral Student at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München in 2017, along with trainee and research internship roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in 2013 and 2014. Haut holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Freie Universität Berlin and completed a master's thesis at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München in 2016.
