Jennifer Scher

Jennifer Scher is a seasoned professional in community advancement and philanthropic initiatives, currently serving as Vice President for the MidAtlantic Region at Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) since December 2021. In this role, Jennifer focuses on connecting communities with Israel and supporting the lives of Israel Defense Forces soldiers through educational and cultural programs. Prior to FIDF, Jennifer held significant positions including Executive Director at Gesher Jewish Day School and Director of Development at the United Jewish Endowment Fund, where responsibilities included managing the Create a Jewish Legacy initiative. Jennifer's career began at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington as Northern Virginia Regional Director. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology from The Ohio State University.
