Sameer Kalghatgi

Sameer Kalghatgi, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Manufacturing for Advanced Therapies/Biologics at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, leading a team of 45 FTEs in commercial manufacturing of mAbs and viral vectors. Previous roles include Director of Technical Operations at NIIMBL, where Sameer expanded a team of Subject Matter Experts and managed the development of large-scale facilities. At WuXi Advanced Therapies, Sameer directed a cGMP testing lab, significantly increasing revenue and team size. As Senior Director of Laboratory Operations at Infinity BiologiX, Sameer secured a substantial CDC contract during the COVID-19 pandemic and led key operational initiatives. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research and EP Technologies LLC, contributing to innovative biomedical developments and securing multiple patents. Sameer holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, focusing on the medical applications of non-thermal plasma.
