Josie Tidmore is a Fulbright Postgraduate at the US-UK Fulbright Commission, currently studying sex-specific phenotypes in chronic kidney disease at Cardiff University, Wales. Josie previously held positions at Bowdoin College as a Paller Fellow in the Powell Lab, where research focused on neural compensation in the cardiac ganglion of the American lobster, and as a Doherty Fellow in the Dickinson Lab, studying motor neurons' responses to neuropeptides. Josie served as a Senior Associate Editor for The Bowdoin Orient and participated in research at Harvard University, exploring aging-related proteostatic collapse and the effects of heat shock on cellular stress responses. Josie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and English from Bowdoin College and is pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Medicine at Cardiff University.
