Eduardo Ramos has over 25 years of experience in corporate governance, internal controls, and compliance. Eduardo is currently an advisor at Fundação Roberto Marinho, a Brazilian nonprofit organization dedicated to the dissemination of information and culture.
Previously, Eduardo was the director of governance, internal controls, and compliance at Rede Globo, one of the largest media companies in Brazil. Eduardo led a team of 3 managers and 44 employees in implementing and managing the area of internal controls and compliance. During their time at Rede Globo, Eduardo also authored the first code of ethics for the company and conducted workshops to disseminate the code among executives.
Eduardo has also been responsible for implementing the due diligence process for third-party integrity and overseeing the implementation of the ombudsman channel, improving the process for investigating irregularities. In addition, they have implemented a governance model for the finance and infrastructure area, with the implementation of KPIs to support the general management with performance indicators, resulting in more effective operations in finance and infrastructure.
Eduardo has a law degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association.
Eduardo Ramos has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Faculdades Integradas Campos Salles, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, a Post-Graduate Degree in Business Administration from The University Center of FEI, and a Specialist Certification in Higher Education Didactics from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Eduardo also has a certification from CrossOver Consulting & Auditing in Internal Control institute Brasil, a certification from InterNews Comunicação Empresarial in InterNews Comunicação Empresarial e Editora, and a certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in Modern Enterprise Risk Manegement Program.
