Montse Miralpeix

Montse Miralpeix, PhD, is the Founder and Director of M. Miralpeix Pharma Consulting, SL, established in November 2018, specializing in the research and development of new medicines and external innovation evaluation. Alongside this role, Montse serves as an expert advisor for the CaixaResearch Validate & Consolidate Programs and as a Senior Director at Galapagos, where responsibilities include the search and evaluation for in-licensing opportunities in inflammation, fibrosis, kidney, and oncology areas. Previously, Montse held various senior positions at Almirall, contributing significantly to drug discovery and external innovation initiatives, as well as a post-doctoral fellowship at Joslin Diabetes Center and an associate professor role at Universitat de Barcelona. Montse's educational background includes an Executive Education at IESE Business School and IE Business School, along with a PhD in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona.
