Lauren Serota

Lauren Serota is a versatile professional with extensive experience in product advisory, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Product Advisor at GoodDollar.org, Lauren is involved in a platform that promotes Universal Basic Income and direct payments. As the Founder and Consultant at Appropriate since 2014, Lauren focuses on product strategy for impact organizations, emphasizing ethical design and implementation in frontier markets. Additional endeavors include co-founding Funga, which harnesses forest microbiomes for environmental sustainability, and leading Under Over Co., a responsible consumer product company known for its innovative, low-to-no plastic deodorant. Lauren has also held roles such as Entrepreneur in Residence at Climate Collective, Co-Chair of the Crypto Sustainability Coalition Working Group at the World Economic Forum, and Co-Founder of the Crypto Research & Design Lab. Lauren's academic background includes a BFA in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
