Zulema Vargas Osorio

Zulema Vargas Osorio is a seasoned Senior Researcher at FunGlass - Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass, focusing on the design, development, and characterization of multifunctional systems for scientific and industrial applications, with expertise in nanocomposites, fibers, 3D structures, mesoporous silica, mesoporous bioactive glasses, glass microspheres, hollow spheres, and nanoparticles. Previously, Zulema served as a Researcher, specializing in antibacterial coatings on glasses. Zulema holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials/Nanomaterials, as well as a Master's degree in Material Science and Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, all from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
