Sam J. Leeds

Sam J. Leeds is an experienced freelance producer with a diverse background in audio storytelling and journalism. Currently associated with Crosscut, KEXP, KNKX Public Radio, Constellations Audio, and Larj Media since August 2018, Sam J. Leeds specializes in reporting and producing podcasts focused on youth homelessness and public funding, contributing significantly to various projects including KEXP's Sound & Vision. From December 2021 to June 2023, Sam J. Leeds served as a producer for NPR Music's acclaimed hip-hop podcast Louder Than A Riot, which explored issues of marginalization and misogynoir in hip-hop culture. Prior roles include producing the Shorty-award winning Run Bambi Run series at Campside Media, serving as a staff reporter and editor for The Daily UW, and various internships in communications and marketing within organizations such as Estately and the City of Seattle.
