João Roberto Marinho

Mr. João Roberto Marinho is the Chairman of the Board since 2021 and, before that he was Vice-President of the Board, from 2003 to 2020. He is also Chairman of the Editorial and Institutional Committee. He started working at the “O Globo” newspaper in 1973, in the general reporting team. Then, he made a career as a journalist in several of the paper’s editorial rooms. In 1982, he became O Globo’s vice-president. From 1985 onwards, he also held the position of vice-president of Rede Globo de Televisão (a role he played until 1997).
