Phil Malek

Phil Malek currently serves as a CTE Career Advisor at Galveston ISD, where responsibilities include advising high school students on career and technical education careers and developing community partnerships and career pathways. In addition, Malek is an Executive Board Member at Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union and has been involved with the Houston Zoo's Education Department since 2010, facilitating educational programs for various groups. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Human Resource Specialist and Classified Recruiter for the City of Houston Fire Department for over 22 years and as a Combat Medic in the United States Army Reserve. Phil Malek holds a BA in Applied Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and an Associate's Degree in Human Resources Development from Houston Community College, along with additional educational pursuits at HR Houston and Milby High School.
