Joe Harpel

Joe Harpel is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in construction and landscape management. Currently employed as a Project Manager at Gardner Builders since March 2024, Joe previously held project management roles at The Opus Group® and served as a Construction Project Manager at the University of Minnesota for nearly nine years. In addition, Joe has held positions such as Facilities Operations Supervisor and Lead Gardener/Climbing Arborist at the University of Minnesota, focusing on project management, staff supervision, and landscape maintenance. Joe also founded and operated Higher Ground Landscapes, managing commercial and residential landscaping projects. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota and a degree in Landscape Design from Hennepin Technical College.
