Karington Johnston

Karington Johnston is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics instruction and early childhood education. Since June 2022, Karington has served as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Garland Independent School District. Prior to this role, Karington taught 5th and 6th grade math at Harmony Public Schools from August 2016 to June 2022. Additional teaching experience includes working as an Assistant Teacher at My Friend's House CDC and serving as a Substitute Teacher at Austin Independent School District. Karington's leadership capabilities were demonstrated as Team Leader for Children and Family Ministries at The Church AT Round Rock, where event organization and curriculum development were key responsibilities. Karington holds a Teacher Certification in EC-6 from the Texas Teachers Alternative Certification Program and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Baylor University.
