Shannon Cunningham Lanning has a diverse background in education, currently serving as a Literacy Curriculum Support Teacher at Garland Independent School District since July 2015, in a grant-funded position. Previous roles include Early Literacy Support Teacher and Kindergarten/First Grade Teacher, with an English as a Second Language endorsement, showcasing a commitment to supporting diverse learners. Shannon's experience extends to teaching in Alief ISD as a Kindergarten Teacher and ESL summer school teacher, along with supervisory roles in summer day camps and university recreation facilities. Shannon holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
