Martijn de Kiewit

Martijn de Kiewit is an experienced compliance and ethics professional currently serving as Group Compliance Officer at gategroup since July 2023. Martijn is also a member of the Supervisory Board at Stichting Register Arbeidsdeskundigen (SRA) and has been a part-time lecturer in Business Ethics at Erasmus University Rotterdam since 2009. Previously, Martijn held significant roles, including Head of Compliance EMEIA and Chief Data Privacy Officer at Albemarle Corporation, and Chief Compliance Officer at Barry Callebaut Group, where the focus was on compliance functions and employee training. Martijn's expertise was further developed at KPMG in Switzerland and the Netherlands, where advisory services on ethics management and compliance systems were provided. Early career experience includes sustainability consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Martijn holds an M.Sc in Public Administration from Leiden University and completed high school at Westland-Zuid and Stanislas College.
