R.Ramachandran

Mr. R.Ramachandran has a Master’s Degree in science and a Post Graduate Diploma in financial management from the Madras University. Mr. Ramachandran served as the Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank from September 2010 to January 2012.

Prior to joining Andhra Bank, he served as a Whole Time Director of Syndicate Bank Ltd. from December 2008 to September 2010. Mr. Ramachandran served as General Manager of Indian Bank. Mr.Ramachandran joined Indian Bank on May 2, 1973. He has worked in the international division of Indian Bank, overseeing the operations of foreign branches besides domestic foreign business emanating from forex authorised branches and overseas branches. He was in charge of Indian Bank’s Singapore branch.

He has been a member of the Advisory Board at Central Vigilance Commission since March 2012. He is a member of the management committee of FEDAI, member of the Association of Banks in Singapore and represents Indian Bank in the Singapore Institute of Management.
