Vinod P. Kumar

Vinod P. Kumar is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in the aviation and technology sectors. Currently serving as Chief Engineer and Manufacturing Engineering Leader at GE Aviation since June 2018, Kumar focuses on enhancing global supply chains through advanced manufacturing and automation solutions. Previously, as Head of R&D and Technology Leader at GE Global Research from December 1998 to May 2018, Kumar directed organizational strategies and technology portfolios while managing teams that developed innovative technologies across various industries. Kumar's career also includes roles as Technology Leader, R&D Manager, and Project Leader, where leadership, team building, and project management were paramount. Kumar holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MS from Rutgers University, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
