Jan Scholten

Jan Scholten is an experienced senior area economist currently working at Gemeente Almere since November 2020, focusing on the development of Nobelhorst. Scholten also serves as the treasurer on the board of Stichting Zaanse Industriecultuur since 2015. Since February 2009, Scholten has been a senior area economist at Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Zeestad CV/BV, responsible for managing the planning and exploitation of urban restructuring projects in Den Helder. Additionally, Scholten has been a senior advisor in area economics and development at SWECO since 2000, and previously held positions as a planning economist at GEM Saendelft from 2001 to 2014 and at Gemeente Hoorn from 2000 to 2008. Scholten's career commenced at Grontmij as a project leader and work preparer from 1996 to 2000. Scholten holds an engineering degree from NHL Hogeschool and completed the VWO at RSG Heerenveen.
