Ruud Smit

Ruud Smit has extensive experience in finance and advisory roles within municipal government and community organizations. Currently serving as a member of the financial working group and support faction at Gemeente De Wolden since May 2022, Ruud is also part of the Klankbordgroep for Univé Samen. Ruud has held various advisory positions, including an interim advisor at Gemeente Eemsdelta since January 2021 and previously at Gemeente Delfzijl and Gemeente Loppersum. As the owner of Ruud Smit Interim en Advies since September 2010, Ruud has developed a strong expertise in finance and control. Additionally, Ruud served as a city council member for Gemeente De Wolden and has been actively involved in multiple community initiatives, holding positions such as treasurer and chairman of youth boards. Ruud's academic background includes a degree in public controlling from Nyenrode Business University and education from Markus Verbeek Praehep and Bestuursacademie Nederland.
