Sarah de Beurs

Sarah de Beurs holds a Master’s degree in International and European law from the University of Groningen. Currently serving as a Beleidsadviseur Elektrificatie at Gemeente Haarlem since September 2024, Sarah has extensive experience in sustainable development and corporate responsibility. Previously, Sarah worked at Plastic Whale from October 2017 to January 2025, taking on roles including Impact Director, Head of Plastic Whale Foundation, and Chief of Furniture, where efforts focused on combating plastic pollution and engaging communities. Other notable positions include Corporate Responsibility Manager at Aldi Nederland, Project Manager at Partos, and legal roles at VluchtelingenWerk Nederland and AMREF Flying Doctors, as well as a trainee position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Sarah’s career reflects a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and social impact.
