Sander Nieuwenhuis

Sander Nieuwenhuis has extensive experience in project leadership and community participation, currently serving as Projectleider Partcipatie Duurzaamheid at Gemeente Lansingerland since April 2022. Sander has been the owner of BRUIS advies since July 2013, focusing on developing communication and participation processes. As the founder of Maak je Wijk since January 2020, Sander has helped residents organize initiatives through a crowdfunding platform. Sander also serves as a board member for Stichting Maak Capelle, supporting local initiatives in Capelle aan den IJssel. Previous roles include Relatiemanager Gemeenten at Stroomversnelling, Projectleider at Stichting Opzoomer Mee Rotterdam, and Adviseur stedelijke vernieuwing at Início BV. Sander holds a Bachelor's degree in Built Environment from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and a minor from Tshwane University of Technology.
