Mireille van Hemert-Schelling

Mireille van Hemert-Schelling currently serves as a Beleidsmedewerker Economie - Detailhandel at Gemeente Maastricht since January 2025. Prior to this role, Mireille co-founded and held the position of Chief Operating Officer at MobieTrain from September 2016 to December 2024, where an innovative SaaS platform for frontline employee training and communication was developed, growing the startup into a scale-up with 45 employees and over 125 clients worldwide. Mireille's earlier experience includes ownership of Contrast Consulting focused on business optimization and customer-centric strategies, as well as retail management roles at The Bicester Village Shopping Collection and Maasmechelen Village, enhancing brand collaboration and retail performance. Additionally, Mireille held various managerial positions at Total, overseeing significant retail projects and developing new shop concepts. Mireille holds a Master of Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has further education from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
