Vinita Simonse

Vinita Simonse is an experienced professional in public administration and social policy, currently serving as Teamleader of the Social Team Wmo and Policy Advisor for Youth Care at Gemeente Nijkerk since November 2021. Previously, Vinita held roles including Process Coordinator for the community engagement initiative "Samen aan Zet/In dialoog met de samenleving" at Gemeente Nijkerk from January 2016 to February 2019, focusing on facilitating dialogue between residents and local government. Other notable positions include Policy Advisor for Subsidy Policy and Arts & Culture at Gemeente Nijkerk (April 2009 - January 2012) and Policy Advisor at Gemeente Weesp (April 2006 - March 2009). Vinita began a career in the arts as a Bharatanatyam dancer with Indra Devi Fine Arts from February 1987 to March 1999, achieving a dance examination in 1999. Vinita holds a Master of Science in Sociology from Universiteit Utrecht, obtained between 2003 and 2005.
