Mieke Olde Engberink

Mieke Olde Engberink currently serves as Beleidsmedewerker Afval at Gemeente Venray since April 2022, focusing on waste policy. Prior to this, Mieke worked at De AfvalSpiegel from June 2018 to March 2022 in Advice and Communication, assisting municipalities in improving waste separation practices. Between February 2012 and June 2018, Mieke held the position of Communication and Lobby Employee at Partos, a sector association for development cooperation. Mieke began a career in editorial roles, first as a Redacteur at Vice Versa from September 2011 to February 2012 and as a Redacteur (intern) earlier in 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master's in International Relations from Utrecht University and another Master's in Cultural and Science Studies from Maastricht University, complemented by a Bachelor's in Cultural Studies and Scandinavian Area Studies from Maastricht University and the University of Southern Denmark, respectively. Mieke completed secondary education at SG Were Di Valkenswaard.
