Christina Demers

Christina DeMers, MS Ed, is an experienced Middle School Counselor currently at GEMS Dubai American Academy since July 2020, previously holding the same position at the American International School of Guangzhou from 2018 to 2020. Christina has also owned Custom Teacher Websites, a business focused on helping educators in their job search from 2011 to 2020. Prior roles include serving as the K-8 School Counselor at Seoul International School, where counseling techniques included Play and Art Therapy, and experience as a long-term substitute teacher. Additionally, Christina worked as an ESL instructor at Pagoda Academy and contributed as a staff writer for Capital Region Living Magazine. With a background in marketing as a Senior Marketing Manager at GlobalSpec and as a Marketing Coordinator at BidNet, Christina's diverse skill set is complemented by a Master of Education in Student Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of the Southwest and a Bachelor of Arts in art and psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
