Benjamin Parkes Npqh

Benjamin Parkes NPQH currently serves as the Secondary Principal at GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Benjamin was the Head of Upper School at GEMS Wellington International School and the Deputy Head Teacher at Kent College Dubai from August 2016 to July 2023, where responsibilities included strategic planning for KS4 & 5 curriculum, pastoral care, and oversight of teaching and learning. Additional roles at Kent College included Head of Mathematics and Head of KS4, focusing on student wellbeing and educational efficacy. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Mathematics at Belvedere British School. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Mathematics from the University of Essex, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Suffolk, an NPQSL in Educational Leadership from UCL, and is presently completing an NPQH. Training in inspection has been obtained through Penta International.
