Shari Franklyn

Shari Franklyn is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Senior Manager at GEMS Education since August 2022. Previously, Shari held the position of Assistant Head of Inclusion at The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls from August 2016 to August 2022, where responsibilities included managing a team of Special Education teachers and ensuring the school's commitment to inclusivity. Earlier roles include Special Education Teacher, SENCO at The Sheffield Private School, Teach Mentor at Montgomery College, and Director of Special Education at Maya Angelou Schools/See Forever Foundation, where Shari oversaw special education programs for adjudicated youth. Shari began a career in education as a Special Education Specialist at the District of Columbia Public Schools and was the Director of the first school for students with emotional disabilities in the District. Shari's educational background includes a Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Brooklyn College, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Queens College, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Marymount College.
