Tapiwa Chimbadzwa

Global Mission Fellow 2023-2025: Environmental Advocate at General Board of Global Ministries

Tapiwa Chimbadzwa currently serves as the Co Lead of the Decolonizing Conservation Working Group at the Program For Ecosystem Change and Society since January 2024, and as a Global Mission Fellow 2023-2025: Environmental Advocate with the General Board of Global Ministries since September 2023. With a commitment to biodiversity research as a Steering Committee Member at the Zimbabwe Youth Biodiversity Network since October 2022, Tapiwa also founded the Innovation Village for Young African Minds in February 2018. Previously, Tapiwa was a Fellow at the 2063 Academy with Atlas For Development from November 2020 to October 2023, and held roles as a Global Peace Ambassador for Global Peace Chain and Environmental Education and Awareness Programs Manager at Wildlife Conservation Action. Additional experience includes positions with Cultiv8 Africa, SPEAK OUT FOR ANIMALS, and an internship with the Ministry of Rural Development Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage. Tapiwa holds a Bachelor Honors Degree in Peace, Conflict and Governance from Great Zimbabwe University, earned in 2018.
