Elizabeth Yao

Elizabeth Yao is an investor at General Catalyst. Prior to this, they were a strategy and business operations extern at BetterUp from January to April 2022. From August 2019 to April 2022, they were a senior associate consultant at Bain & Company. From June 2018 to September 2018, they were a software development engineer intern at Amazon, where they worked on the Amazon Key iOS team (now part of Ring). From June 2017 to August 2017, they were a summer intern at Bank of China (Hong Kong). Elizabeth Yao has also been a research assistant at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research from June 2016 to September 2016.

Elizabeth Yao earned a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University. Elizabeth also attended Menlo School.
