Maria A. Sastre

Maria A. Sastre is the current Director at General Mills. Maria has also held previous positions at Miramar Services Inc, The Conference Board, Guidewell Holdings Inc, Helios Education Foundation, and Signature Flight Support. From May 2010 to May 2018, they served as the President & Chief Operating Officer of Signature Flight Support. In this role, they oversaw global business operations of Signature's worldwide network of locations. Maria successfully transformed Signature’s scale, operating performance, customer service and its focus on diversity. In 2016, they successfully integrated the largest acquisition in the history of BBA Aviation and the FBO industry by acquiring and integrating Landmark Aviation with over 64 new sites resulting in a network that now comprises over 200 locations. From January 2009 to April 2010, they served as the President & CEO of Take Stock in Children. From April 2004 to April 2015, they served as a Member Board of Directors for Publix Super Markets. And from September 1999 to September 2014, they served as a Member Board of Directors for Darden.

Maria most recently earned their MBA in Management and Marketing from the New York Institute of Technology. Maria also holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Finance from NYIT, as well as an Associate's degree in Accounting from Miami Dade College. Prior to their MBA, Maria completed a program in Executive Leadership at Duke University. Her educational background also includes a degree in Political Science from Florida International University.
