Jacob Sorensen

Jacob Sorensen is an advisor at Genesys Works. Prior to their current position, they worked as first vice president at JPMorgan Chase where they were responsible for the delivery of the Finance Data Warehouse, General Ledger Data Mart, Account Level P&L (RAROC) Data Mart, and Hyperion Essbase for financial planning. Jacob also played an instrumental role in the sale of Providian to Washington Mutual and Washington Mutual to JPMorgan Chase through expert implementation of data infrastructure.

Sorensen began their career in 2000 as information technology manager at NextCard, a pioneer in the FinTech space as a leading issuer of consumer credit online. Jacob worked with business and technical teams to align the technology roadmap to corporate goals and developed cutting-edge business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions.

Jacob Sorensen has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
