Aviv Gafni

Aviv Gafni, PhD, is an accomplished laboratory operations general supervisor and R&D scientist at GeneType since June 2018. Prior roles include research officer at Monash University focusing on cellular and developmental genetics and research officer/team leader at myDNA, where Aviv led a team in nutritional genomic research. While at The University of Melbourne, Aviv served as a teaching assistant, tutoring and grading for over 500 undergraduate students. Earlier experience includes a research assistant position in immuno-oncology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, where Aviv was involved in pre-clinical cancer research. Aviv holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Stem Cell Genetics from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Bar-Ilan University.
