Joe Townsend

Joe Townsend currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Genomics plc since October 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Lead Software Engineer at Metail from July 2011 to July 2019, where Joe led the development of line-of-business applications for managing globally distributed data. Joe's academic background features postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge on the Chem4Word and SPECTRa-T projects, as well as experience as a Director of Studies and Fellow at Corpus Christi College. Joe completed a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, where studies were conducted from 1999 to 2003.
