Bill Marcum

Bill Marcum advises Genstar Capital in its industrials sector.

Bill has over 40 years of experience in managing operations, strategic planning and organizational development both in the U.S. and as an expatriate. Bill served as Chief Executive Officer of MW Industries, Inc., a former Genstar portfolio company, that manufactures and sells industrial springs, fasteners, and precision mechanical components. He also served as Chief Executive Officer for Woods Equipment Company (also a former Genstar portfolio company), a manufacturer and distributor of attachments and spare parts for the agriculture and construction equipment industries.

Previously, Bill was President of Carlisle Power Transmission, Inc., a division of Carlisle Companies that manufactures and sells industrial belt drive components. He also served as Vice President, International Operations, for the Global Fluid Power Division of Gates Corporation, overseeing all Fluid Power operations in Europe, India and Asia, including manufacturing plants in the U.K., Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, India and China. Prior to this assignment, Bill was President, Gates Unitta Asia from 1995 to 2001. He directed and managed all aspects of Gates’ automotive and industrial, OEM and replacement power transmission businesses throughout the Asian region.

He completed the Art of Executive Excellence, an advanced executive training program from the Covey Leadership Center, in 1992.

Bill currently serves as a Director of BBB Industries, a Genstar portfolio company.
